Last night in our discussion we were talking a little about the apparent lack of understanding of repentance and the role of the atonement. As I considered this I was reminded that in the Law of Moses the focus of everything they did originally was the daily blood sacrifices that they made. These we know represent Christ's atonement. Today's orthodox Jews do not practice blood sacrifice and thus have lost probably the most important part of the Law of Moses that they profess to believe and follow.
